Boulevard Trees - The resIdents of Cummings Lene requested permls~lon to plant trees, at theIr own expense, along ths boulevard area. The Village has no ordInance regulating tres planting, but Mr. Tlmm agreed to Trustee Hoyfm6n~'5 suggestion that he check wIth the PlannIng CommIssion on t~e type end Doc8tlon of the proposed trees. T~e Council commended the residents for undertaking thIs street beautIfication project. CummlnQs Lane Street LIQht - The street lIght on Cummings Lene Is out agaIn. Attorney Courtney advIsed the Council that ~ publIc hearIng would be necessary under pre$ent ordinances. Trustee Hoffmann moved that a publIc hearIng be scheduled for August 8, on the grantIng of a con- dItional use permIt for Mrs. Turkington; seconded by Trustee BJorndohl; carried. DefinItion of Quorum In reply to a question from Mrs. Harmon, Att~~ney Courtney advIsed that a quorum Is a simple maJority. Under Village procedures a meeting may begin when a "simple majorIty or quorum" 15 present, said meeting may contInue to conduct busIness even though someone leaves, providIng no one challenges the lack of 8 quorum. Standard Station (Case No. 66-3) Trustee Hoffmann reported that Standard 011 has submitted plans sub- stantIally as recommended by the PlannIng Commission. However, since the Comprehensive Plan shows a servIce road south of County Road E, '~e plans are billng hsld In abeyance pending Councl ft decision on the SEll"'flce road. Attorney Courtney advIsed the Council_on procedures to be 'aliened should a servIce road be constructed. Englfleer Lund was requested to report Jul, 25 on the feasibIlity, practicality, and recommended lavout for a servIce road.
