Gentlemen:

I In accordance with previous conversations with your council and village attomey. we sub-
, mit this proposal for complete engineering services in regard to the street program within
, the Village of Arden Hills for the area where the streets require reconstruction and re-
I! surfacing following sanitary sewer construction.
1. PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION AND CONFERENCES:

I, We propose to make a complete study of the matter of street reconstruction and
I, resurfacing within the limits of your village where sanitary sewer construction
I was carried out in 1960 and 1961.

'I' We will make altemate reconnnendetions and discuss these reconnnendetions with

~ I the various interested citizens groups from your village so designated by the
'!I Council.

'I! We will calculate preliminary construction costs based on the various alternative
'I' procedures established by the council and the citizens connnittees and will prepare

I, preliminary maps and plans indicating the extent and nature of any proposed street
~ ' program.

:,1 We will attend conferences or preliminary hearings for the various improvement
II programs or districts which your council elects to consider for construction.

I We will prepare the necessary data and preliminary information and attend improve-
ment hearings for the va..rious areas concemed with such contemplated street con-
struction.

,I For this work we shall receive a fee equal to one and one-half (1J,;%) per cent
,I of the. cost of construction.
2. PLANS AND SPEClFl~TIONS:
l; lile will prepare complete working plans ,and specifications for the portion of the
work which yOU undertake to construct 'and will prepare such plans and specifica-

.' tions on those alternative bases determined by your council.

We shall aid your council in advertising for construction bids. receiving of
bids, and the awarding of construction projects.
/ For this work we will receive a fee 'equal to five and one-half (5J,;) per cent of

: , the cost of construction. Against this fee of 5J,;% of the cost of construction we

, I will allow full credit for all monies previously paid to us for the preliminary
