Counoil ttbBt the b~ildings looated at 2047 Thom Drive were beyond repair.
Mr. Courtney reported that condemnation of said property would cost
approximately $800.00 with the Village having ownerShip after seven years.
An alternate solution would be to file a nuisanoe charge (a misdemeanor
Ohar~e) against the owner. The penalty for a misdemeanor would be $100.00
or 9 days against the offioers of Them Realty. Motion made by lI1r. CI'epesu
seoonded by Mr. Olmeo, refsrring tae oass to M~. Courtney to attempt to
obtain results with persuasion. Carried.

RESOLUTION RECEIITDfG REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER, CALE.ING
PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT, APPROVING
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WEREFOR, AND ORDERING ADVERTISING FOR BillS.
~1HEREAS, Bamster Engineering Co., consulting engineers for the Village,
have submitted to the Council plans and specifications for Sanitary Sewer
Improvement No.5. a description of ..hich is hereinafter set forth, ..hich
plans and specifications detail the proposed improvsment of a parcel of prop-
. erty in Arden Hills located generally on the northeast intersection of County
Road E and Hamline Avenue by constructing therein a Sanitary Sewer. and
WIlEE/EAS, said consulting engineers for the Village have further report-
ed to the Council that the proposed improvement is feasible and should be
made upon the basis proposed, and have further reported to the Council on the
estimated cost of said improvement. all of which reports have been received
by the Council this 30th day of October. 1961 and
WHEREAS. it appears to the Council that the improvement of said area
by establishment therein of a sanitary sewer system is urgently necessary by
reason of the commercial enterprises being located therein. and by reason of
the unanimous request of the property OlffierS involved herein.
Note! THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Village Council of Arden Hills.

RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR IMPROVEHENT OF CONNELLY AVENUE
liHEREAS, Banister Engineering Co, Village Engineers, have submitted to
the Council at this meeting proposed plans and spcifications for the dedi-
cation and improvement of Connelly Avenue, located just northeast of the
L.l'ltersection of County Road E and Hamline Avenue, as a public street, and
lolHEREAS, by letter of October 27, 1961 the owners of property abutting
on said Connelly Avenue, to-wit: Walter F. Stepnitz, Husby Properties, Inc.,
. and John R.1Wsgaard, have :requested the Council to indicate its approval
and acceptance of such proposed improvement of Connelly Avenue in accord-
ance with these plans and specifications, said plans and specifications be-
ing dated October ;30, 1961, and
1:lHEREAS, said proposal stipulates that the :improveme}1t shall be carried
out at the expense of Walter Stepnitz and a performance bond shall be given
to the Village, Husby Properties, Inc. and John 1Wsgaard, to insure comp-
letion of said road in accordance with the said plans and specifications, and
1iliEREAS, the Council has also been requested by said party, by letter
dated October 27, 1961, to institute a local improvement proceeding for the
construction of a sanitary sewer system on said property abutting Connelly
Avenue, lvhich sewer system is to be laid on the site of Connelly Avenue as
. proposed by the aforesaid plans and specifications,
NOtJ' TIlEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLv.!w that the Council does approve the
aforesaid plans and specifications for the improvement of Connelly Avenue,
and does connnit itself to accept said. road as a Village street for mainten-
ance as such upon completion of the road and dedication of the road in acc-
ordance with the plans and specifications dated October 30, 1961, and sub- ,
