\~~EREAS, the village council at a meetir~ helo April 16th authorized
the clerk to obtain bid or bids for certair: insurances, and
\7: iE EEAS , the clerl<: in resronse thereto solicited bids from various
insurance firllls, and
'1iJfEREaS, irt response thereto only one 'bid was submitted, to-wit, by
H. &.Val J. Rothschild, Incorporated, who bid $2;3.48 annual premium for
Compr ehensi ve Liabi Ii tyexcludir,g Products Liability and inc2uding .auto-
mobiles, with liDi ts of $100,000/$100,000 bodily injllry, $10,000 auto
property danage and $2.5,000 general prop; rty damage, and
lHEREi,S, in further~ponse thereto the said firm submitted a bid
for 'iiorkmen's Compe nsati on insurance based on its present municipal em-
ployees, excluding any construction workers, but inCluding all officers,
assessor, building inspector, road supervisor, who would come under Code
~41O with a rate Of 41~per $100.00 of annual lJayroll and minimum of
$12 .00 pr emium, and
'i\'IfEREAS, in further response thereto the saIre firm submitted a bid for
$.500.00 fire am extended coverage insurance on village equipment and
records while at 3401 N. Snelling "ve., st. .?aul 8, J,:inn., the clerk's
residence, and with a minimum premium of $.5..53 for a three-year term, and
WHEREAS, it was deem;, d advisable for the protection and best interests
of the village to bind the said insllrmlces beginning with April 28,19.51
at noon, and
WHEREaS, all of said insurances are necessary for the protection and
best intHests of the village,
'lEEREIDRE BE IT RESOLVED: That the clerk forthwith convert the said
binders into policies retroactive to the binder date.
Passed by the council this 30th day of April, 19.51.
