('!his meeting was adjourned from the regnlar meeting held September 24,
for the purpose of determining the 19.51 tax levy.)
Meeting called to order at 8:1.5 P.M. by MIlJor Oummings.
. All counoilmen exoept Maok present. There being a qQorum present the
meeting prooeeded with the transaction of business as follows:
Minutes of the September 24th meeting were approved as read by the olerk.
By motion of McClung seoonded by Doepner the following olaims were
approved for payment:
147 - Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Dept. - on aooount of fire
proteoti on $230.90
;'48 - Spring Lake Park Fire Dept. - aoot. of fire proteotion .230.90
~.52 - First State Bank, New Brighton, Minn. - imprinting cks. 6.87
.53 - Carl F. Bu.oher - for 2 gallons 2-4-D weed killer 10.00
#.54 - B. J.DeLange - spraying weeds 8.12
By motion of Cummings seoonded by Delange the following resolution was
passed unanimously by the oouncil:
"RESOLVED and approved that a 19.51 tax levy of $15.300.00 (Fifteen
. '!housand Duee Hundred and nO/lOO Dollars) colleoti ble wi th general
taxes in 19.52 for the general tax fund for operation of the govern-
ment of the Village of Arden Hills, Minnesota, be oertified to the
County .mdi tor for tax levy for said village."
'!he olerll: reported that Mr. Klatt of the Minnesota Highway Department
advised him that the Highway Act does not permit it to furnish village boundary
signs for roads other than for state trunk highways even though the village is
willing to pay for the same. ~
By motion of MCClung seoonded by Cwnmings th adjourned at
10:40 P.L!.
