The meeting was called to order at 8:07 P.M. by Mayor Cummings. . Roll Call: All Present. Building Inspector, Melvin Hurlbert, appeared before the Coun- mil to suggest that an electrical inspector' be appointed for the Village. He introduced Mr. Ed. Salverda, Who had just been appointed electrical inspector for Moundsview. The advantages that would accrue to the Village from such an action were dis- cussed. DeLange moved and Mack seconded a motion that Mr. Sa 1- verda be appointed electrical inspector for the Village of Arden Hills - carried. Mr. Sam Ciresi appeared to find out what action had been taken on the request for a license for dancing that had been made at the last regular meeting of the Council. He was informed that no action would be taken on any requests for licenses until information forms had been filled out and turned in to the Chairman of the Public Safety Committee. The Clerk read the bid made on the road surfacing job by the Dependable Surfacing Co. of So. st. Paul. The Council decided to reserve action on the bid until the next regular meeting. A petition signed by residents on Skiles Lane was read request- ing that a sign be put up warning drivers to watch out for children. McClung moved and Ludlow seconded a'motion that signs be put up on Skiles Lane at Glenarden Rd. and Glenarden Court.- carried. Mack moved and Ludlow seconded a motion the meeting be adjourned.
