MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
COUNCIL OF 'rIfE VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILIS

Monday, July 13, 1953.
The meeting was called to order at ~:03 P.M. by Mayor Cummings.
Roll Call: Cummings, De Lange, Me Clung, Ludlow present: Mack
absent. There being a quorum present, the council proceeded
with transactions of business as follows:
The bids for dust coating the roads of the Village were opened
and read by the clerk. After discussion Ludlow moved and Mc Clung
seconded a motion that all bids be rejected - carried.
An estimate made by Ramsey County on the cost of dust coating the
roads was discussed, and Mc Clnng moved and Ludlow seconded a
motion that the Ch. of Public Works be authorized to have the
County proceed with blading and oiling the Village roads. carried.
Cummings moved and Me Clung seconded a motion that Ch. De Lange
be paid $2.50 per hr. for supervising the road Bork.- carried.
~~ayor Cummings read an opinion front Attorney General Burnquist
regarding the use of sirens & lights on private cars.
Ludlow moved and De 'Lange seconded a motion that the meeting be
adjourned - carried.
The meeting adjourned at 9:15 P.M.
