The meetin~ was called to order at 8:07 P.M. by MaTor Cummings.
. The minutes of the Village Election of Tuesday, December 8, 1953
were reacl by the clerk. Mack moved and Mc Clung seconded a
motion the c8.nvassing minutes be annroved in final as the can-
vassin~ board anproved - carriod.
The clerk read. a letter fro"l B. J. De Lan(;e, trustee and road
commissioner, in whiCh he ter>dered his resir:nation for business
reasons. Mack moved and.. Mc Clung seconded the motion accepting
Mr. De Lange'S resignation and appointing Bob AShback to .tilli31 . ~ (
his unexpired term of office - carried.
Mr. 11c Clung resolved that the Village of Arden Hills should enter
into a fire protection 8c;reemer>t with the Lake Johanna Volunteer
Fire Dept. at a fee of i~lOOO.OO for the year 1954 and with the
Spring Lake Park Volunteer Fire Dept. Inc. at a fee of $750.00
for the year 1954. The clerk read the proposed fire protection
contracts. Mack moved Rnd Ashback seconiled a motion accepting
Mc Clung'S resolution and accepting the contracts as read by the
mayor and clerk - carried.
Ludlow moved RI'd Mc Clung seconc'ced a motion that a .joint meeting
be held with the Town Board of MoundSview at 7:30 P.M. Tuesday,
December 15, 1953 for the further consideration of the proposed
nevi Village and Town Hall - carried.
Ludlow moved and Ashback seconded a motion the meeting be ad-
.journed - carried.
The meeting ad.journed at 10:03 P.M.
