MINUT:B:S OF SPECIAL MEETING
COUNCIL OF THJ!: VILLAGE 01<' ARDEN HILLS
Tuesday, May 11, 1954

The Meeting was called to order at 8:22P.M. by Mayor AShbaeh,
who stated that a special Meeting had been called for the pur-
pose of considering some special problems facing the Village.
Roll Call: Present -Ashbach, Hack, ,Mc Clune, Ludlow.
Absent - De Lange
The Mayor asked all council Members to remember to speak aUdibly
and distinctly, so t.'12t those attendinp- the meetinGs can hear.
He also cautioned members to remornber the rules governing con-
duct and procedure at meetinr~s.
Mr. Ken Schott - 1683 w. Co. Rd. F.
J'~r. Phillip Morton - owner of lot next to that above, appeared
to ask what action was to be taken on the proposed erection of
prefabricated d~vellings south of Co. Rd. F. After discussion of
ways and neans of controllj.np; the character of homos built within
the villar;e, Mc ClunG moved and Ludlow seconded a motion: pending
adoption of a new buildj.ng code, no building permits are to be .
issuecl on pbtted or unplatted property without first beinl~ sub-
mitted to the council and acted on favorably by them. The build-
ing inspector is to be instructed to refer all applications to
the village clerk who will in turn refer them to-the council for
action. The motion carried.
Attorney, Courtney, reported that village traffic regulations
cannot be in conflict with those of the state. The council has

Mr. Mack recol"JIlended that Health Of:ficorlti Dr. Moga inspect the
coss pool drainage from the Lakeview Terrace Club into the lake
and make a report to the council.
