The meeting was called to order at 8:05 P.M. by *;yor Ashbach.
Present: Ashbach, McClung, Mack, Ludlow
Absent: DeLange
'lhe minutes of the August 30 meeting were read by the clerk. The:t'e being
no additions or corrections, the minutes stood approved as read.
REPORTS OF COMMITTEES:
Finance: Chairman Ludlow reported a meeting to be held for plAnnh.g the
budget for 1955. ColIIDIittee Chairmen were requested to supply
the clerk with their collllllittee1s finlUlcial requirements for
the coming year.
Public Safety: Chairman McClung introduced a dog ordinance and moved the
reading of the ordinlUlce be considered the first. Ashbach
seconded the motion and discussion followed. The vote on the
motion was #1 ~, 2 opposed. The ordinlUlce was referred back
to cOlSittee for further stud;r.
Public Welfare: Chairman Mack is to cheek again on the cesspool situation
at Lakeview Terrace. The reading of the proposed ordinance
on public nuisances was suspended until the Village Attorner
could be present.
Pnblic Works: _or Ashbaeh reporting for Chairman DeLange stated a request
had been received to grade Lake Lane. A check is to be lll8.de if
it is one of the village streets.
After a discussion of care and lIIIl.intenance of undergrOUlld wiring under a
village road, the clerk was instructed to inform Mr. Ii1ehn that his 4eal.ings in
re above would have to be with the Northern States Power and the village would
assume no liability in the matter.
The Pl8llDing Committee is working on the new building code and a special
j oint meeting with the council is scheduled.

Building Inspector Hurlbert submitted letter of resignation

The Village Attorner is to cheek on condelllDlltion of building
on Lake Johanna. Boulevard and the Millena's quonset hut.
Mr. Marquart requested a warning sign about children at the entrance to
Skiles Lane.
The clerk is to inform }to. Kranniek of the Sherwood Hills developing
group of the necessity of supplying the Council with a certificate of
ownership.
