COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF :MtDEN HILLS
Monday, Octob~r 18, 1954
The meetinp: was called to order at 7:55 P.M. by Mayor Ashbach.
Present - Ashbach, Me Clung, Mack, Ludlow.
. Absent - De Lange.
Ch. or the Finance Committee, Mrs. Ludlow, presented the
recemmendations and budget proposed by the finance committee for
the year 1955.
After discussion during which the proposed amount for civil
derense was dscreased from ~200.00 to $25.00 and the proposed amount

for parl< development was increased fron $400.00 to $775.00; Me Clung
moved and I~ack seconded a motion that the budget be approved incorpor-
ating the above mentioned chanp:es - carried.
Ludlow then moved that Resolution # 20 requesting a 1954 tax
1wvy of $17,100.00 be approved. Me Clung seconded the motion and the
motion carried.
The Council gave its approval to the appointing or VirGinia
Swanson and Esther Smith as judges; and Shirley Ludlow and Mary Jane
IsaAcson as clerks for the November general election.
The Council also recommended that a study of all insurance
policies be made berore the next anniversary date.
. Me Clung moved and Ludlow seconded a motion the meeting be
adjourned - carried. The meeting adjourned at 10:04P.M.
