The meeting was called to order at 3:05 P.M. by Mayor AshbBch.
Roll Call: All members present,':
The minutes of the May :31 meeting Were read by the Clerk and approved by
the Council.

~~. Ralph Hunt, Civil Defense Director. requested approval for installation of
the air raid alarm siren at the NE corner of Ingerson Road and Dunlap, llJld at
the NE intersection of Snelling and Arden Place. Dr. Hoyt moved and ~lr.
l~cClung seconded the motion that Council approve the installation of the t\<o
sirens recommended by ~lr. Hunt, using 50 ft. poles. Motion passed.
"~. Hunt was given authority to choose workers to aid in the Civil Defense
Program.

!'UBLIC SAFETY CmrlITTEE: Er. S['11 tros has traded in his Ford on a new :Buick and
now needs police equipment on the new cex. I~. McClung moved that the Police
Dept. be authorized to have the radio changed to. 12 Volt system, and further
that they t~~e steps to find the price of a 12 Volt siren, and the allowance
to be made on present 6 Volt siren, and also obtain bids for sale on alternator
which is now surplus equipment, and further that the Public Safety Committee is
authorized to make the purchase of a new 12 Volt siren at a co st not to exceed
$150.00. Hr. DeLange seconded and the motion was passed.
PUBLIC rlORKS COf.!'lITI'EE: Ilr. DeLange ,stated th"t all streets are oiled except the
service road at By. 10 and By~ 96, and part of the Ingerson Addit~on. The
ste.mdard signs are up, but other signs have not been completed yet. About 80;6
of the weeds are cut, but there are still trees end bushes to be trim~ed. The
turn-around on Ridgewood was discussed by the Council. The part of it on vills€e
property is to be oiled, and consideration given to completing the construction
of the turn-arolmd in the future.

The Ordinance to Provide for the Registra,tion, Identification, p,nd Kee"ing of
Dogs ~,ps given the third reading. Some parts of the Ordinance Here e.mmended by
The Council. Dr. Hoyt moved we accept the Dog OrdinEnce as presented with
the changes suggested. l,lr. McClung seconded s.nd the mdJtion ~ms passed. Dr. Hoyt
moved and Mr. McClung seconded the motion that Clerk I>urchase 200 d.og t~s and
other supplies necessary for thE dog registration. Motion passea.
Claims for June were presented by Clerk. l4r. DeLange moved and Dr. Ropt
seconded the motion that Claims 619 thru 64) be paid. Motion passed.
The building plans for the building on the Zilliox property were referred to
the ~~or's Advisory Committee for consideration.
Dr. Hoyt moved and t~s. Stromquist seconded the motion the meeting be adjourned.
Motion passed.
Meeting was adjourned at 10:)0 P.M.
