Monday, July 2, 1956
The meeting was called to order at 8:04 by Mayor Ashbach.

Mr. Charles Amble requested permission to conduct a firework display July 4,
1966 , the display to be conduoted by Mr. Raymond Sawyer on the Amble
property adjoining Minnow Lake.Motion was made by Delange and seconded by
McClung that permission ~ granted. Motion passed.
.Tom Lannasso, owner of a lot in Jos. Lake Park appeared to object to allowing
building on the 42 foot lot adjoining his property on the North as requested
by Mr. Friedman.
Mr. Vern Luther, 1517 Glenhill Rd appeared to request action on the correotion
of a sewage problem adjacent to his lot. Dr. Hoyt was asked to oontaot Dr.
Sekhon relative to requireing correction of the problem.
Mr. A. G. Rein -'I ....., discussed zoning of the land at County Road E and
Lexington Avenue. He recommended and requested consideration of commeroial
zoning of a parcel 500' deep en tending West l3l7 feet from Lexington Ave.
South of Co. Rd. E and extending 872 feet South of Co. Rd. E West of
Lexington Avenue.
Mr'. John Grudnoske requested commeroial zoning of a track from Hamline
Avenue entending West 800' and 300' deep South of Highway 96.
Mr. Alban, 3645 N. Hamline appeared to giscuss the problem of the Daley dog
kennel at 3673 Hamline Avenue. He stated that it had been operated as a
kennel by Mrs. Kelly after about 1946 or 1947. Mrs. Alban discussed the
nuisance phase of the operation and many problems of a personal nature.
N~. Barish, who originally complained about the burning of kennel refuse
which has been oorredted, objeoted to the noise created by the dogs.
Mayor Ashbach suggested that Mrs. Daley be given five months time in whioh
to oease operation of the kennel.
The Counoil resolved on motion by Hoyt and seconded by Delange that their
feelings on the matter be expressed as concerned for the welfare of all
parties involved and that they request all parties to am make every effort
to avoid the conflict and that the kennel operation be ceased by December
1, 1956. A motice is to be sent to Mrs. Daley and to the parties petitioning
the Council by letter of July 2, 1956.
Mr. Harold O'Laughlin appeared concerning the rezooing of the Newman lot.
Mr. W.J. Behr appeared to object the the rezoning of this property.
. Hoyt moved and McClung seoonded approval of the Wilmus Plat which was
presented at the last meeting of the Council. Motion passed.
A hearing was held on the Arden Hills Zoning Ordinance. The ordinanoe
was discussed. There was no objection presented to the ordinance.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:35 P.M.
