The meeting was called to ol'der at 8:05 P.I;;. by IHayor Ashbach.
ROLL CALL: Fresent; AShbach, Delange, Hoyt, Stromquist.
Absent; 'Hinfrey.
The Linutes of the meeting of February 25, 1957 were read by Hoyt and
approved by the Council.
Mr. Perry Copland appeal'ed representing Ide's. Gharlot'ce Daley. IiIl'. Copland
.requested a thil'ty day extension of time before Council takes action to close
he Daley c~og kennel. After Coc;ncil discussion Hoyt moved and Delange sec-
onded the motion we instruct the Village Attorney to start action to require
compliance with the Village Ordinance, and for At torney to s tart the ac tion
in fifteen days from present date. Motion passed.
Xr. Lyle Carpenter and lfx. Wasielewski reported that water is running into
.I;heir yards from Johanna Blvd. Er. Delange moved, I\lrs. Stromquist seconded
the motion tha t we wr i te to tIle Gountly Engineer and reques t tha t the matter
be investigated by the county. Motion passed. Kayor Ashbach to write letter.
);.'Il'. George Oster was informed that no action has been taken as yet upon his
~pplication for Village Plumbing Inspector.
l.:r. Kenneth Sparks was informed that when his cOlntdttee comes to
with a recommendation for the proposed playground for Arden Hills
will act upon it.

Iilrs. Stromquist presented a petition which had been filed ~~xxx March 14,
1957 by Carl Langer and D. F. Kennedy requesting that Arden Hills Village
call an election for the purpose of annexing the following described

presented the auto insurance policies for the village policemen.
Upon motion by Hoyt, seconded by DeLange, an amnlendment to Section 4 of
the Arden Hills Zoning Ordinance was intl:'oc1uced by title, to provide for
Conditional t;se permits. Notion passed. The ammendment is to be given
committee s'cudy by the next meeting.
Upon motion by Stromquist, seconded by Hoyt, licenses fOl' the Grotto
Club were appl'oved as requested. :.,otion passed.

considerably in the villag~.

that thel'e is a good possibility of gettin3 the fence removed from around
Hound Lake.
The th11'd readins was given the alllmendment to Section 1-49 of the 3uilding
Code. Hoyt moved, DeLange see onded the motion tIm t this be cons idered the
third and 1'inal reading of the ammendment and tha tit be pu.blished in
the Eose 'Tribune. hlotion passed.
Upon motion t,:! Delange, seconded b:T Stromquist, Claims 1018 thru 1032 were
