MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS
Monday January 13, 1958
The meeting was called to order at 8:05 P." by Mayor Ashbach.
Roll Call: Present; Ashbach, Winfrey, Langer, Stromquist
Absent; DeLange.
Mayor Ashbach reported that John Kenna would like some action on the
proj"osed purchase of his property as soon as possible. A committee
is to be appointed to give information at next meeting in regard to
the proposed purchase. Mayor Ashbach to contact all persons offering
to donate land to the village and to request them to be at the next
meeting also.
Mayor Ashbach reported that 1958 committee and other appointments
will be made at the January 27th meeting.
After Council discussion Langer moved, Winfrey seconded the motion
that the Bannister Engineering Co. be requested to do a sewer survey
for the S.W. corner of the village consisting of the area South of
County Road E to County Road D. Motion passed.
PUBLIC SAFETY: Mr. Winfrey reported that the police department is
shorthanded this month with only two policemen on the force at the
present time. Council extended the appointment of Jerome Wasielewski
end Jack Wo:Lf as policemen' until the January 27th meeting.
CLERK REPORT: Stromquist presented copies of the ordinance allowing
Grotto Conditional Use Permit as drawn up by attorney. Upon motion
by L~nger, seconded by Winfrey, Clerk to send one copy to the Grotto
Club i{i th e letter inforning them of action t,"Cken. Hotion passed.

Mr. KrAnnak presented a revised Shorewood Hills 7 plat. Bob Ashbach
to present it to Mr. Jones, plan. consultant.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:10 P~1.
