Council ordered construc- tion stopped an 101.e house until a road performance bond is posted with Village Clerk and a building permit is obtained. The ::'uilding permit is not to be issued until bond is filed. LeRoy Nelson, 1935 Grant Road, reported there are at least 50 holes on Grant Road. Councill'equested Hr. Nelson to call Engineer Cal'ley in re- gard to the matter. George Oster, Plumbing Inspector, requested a rate increase in well dril- ling 8nd cesspool permits. A petition for a name change fOI' Jensen Avenue was referred to DeLange. upon motion by Crepeau, seconded by Stromquist, Building Inspector was authorized to issue a building permit for a buildinG on con~ercial prop- erty in the Zilliox plat to S.ysgard Company. Upon motion by Winfrey, seconded by Stromquist, an exception to setback requirement was granted for 1928 Grant Road as shown on the building permit. ;r:otion passed. Upon recommendation of the Public Welfare Department, motion made by Winfrey, seconded by Crepeau that a permit be issued to put a basement under tho;house at 3062 Sandeen Road, although the house does not meet building code requirements. ~;Iotion passed. upon recomtaendation of the Public ~ye..committee, motion was made by Winfre;l, seconded by Ashbach, that Er. Dick Schreyer, 3660 Glenarden Hoad be given thirty days to take down the temporary cooler and remove the beer barrels from his residenee. Kotion passed. A request from j,Il'. Schreyer for a 6 months c ondi t ional use permit for the business at same address was not grant ed. upon motion by'Ninfrey, seconded by Stromquist, amendment to the Zoning Ordinance allowing rest homes and hospitals in certain al'eas was given a first reading. Crepeau reco~~ended that in case of attendance at Juvenille Court by Village police officers on supena, that officer be reimbursed by the Village if lawyer for the cas e does not pay the officer. . . j,Iinutes of Council Meeting, June 30, 1958 page 3 Vic Weber, Police Chief, reported on the extreme parking and traffic problem of the lake Johanna beach on Sunday, June 29. More Parking and stop signs are to be installed in the area. Parking Violators are n~v instructed to n~il the ~2.00 fine to Vil~ge Clerk. Upon motion by Crepeau, seconded by Winfrey, approval for fireworks displays July 4, 1958 were ~ranted to the lake Johanna Improvement Association and to the Grotto Club on Lake Johanna. Motion passed. Council approved a request from Arden nills #3 Association to put a line of Bouys 75' from the shore line to rope off beach area. Ashbach to inform them. Upon motion by Stromquist, seconded by Crepeau, claims 1395 thru 1434 were approved for payment.
