The minutes of the August 11, 1953 meeting were read and approved.

CLERK'S REPORT: Clerk announced resignation of Plumbing Inspector Oster.
Sponmotion by Winfrey, seconded by Stromquist, Council appointed Clay
~elley to act as plumbing inspector for the month of September vn"ile legal
requirements for inspector are chec][.ed. J-lotion passed.
Attorney Courtney was reauested to check a reauest of Northwestern 3ell
Teleplmne Company for installation of a burried cable to see if the tele-
:)hone company will pay any expense for future seNer 01' uater lines ,'Then
diGging near cable.
f.. letter from County Sngineer in regard to cheelt up of speed limit on
namline Avenue was ~iven to Public ~afetv Director Creoeau.

Upon motion by Uinfrey, seconded by Crepeau, Clerk 1'las authorized to write
the Board of Ramsey County Commissioners favoring continuation of the mos-
quito abatement program. Motion passed.

church has aLout 99 members from 27 j:'e.milies, that the average meeting
nttenc1ance is from )~-5 to 60 persons v.'ith an estimated 15 to 1J'; cars to

An open meeting on the proposed 1959 Vil"e.ge budget and tax levy was set

A liquor license apDlication from Lynthon C. Anderson was referred to the
Finance Committee. Council requested Clerk to put notice in Rose Tribune
