Roll Call: Present; Ashbach, Delange, Crepeau, Stromquist Absent; Winfrey . The Minutes of the November 10, 1958 meeting were read and approved. A request from Richard Diebe, l753 Gramsie, to run a drainfield onto Village boulevard was referred to DeLange. A petition was submitted by Mrs. Goldren Anderson to operate a beauty shop in her home at 1905 Glenpaul. Motion by Crepeau, seconded by Stromquist, granted the request for a conditional use permit for a three year period subject to conditions of Ordinance #20. Motion passed. The matter of an easement and where it should be located to relieve the condition of the turn around at Lake Lane was referred to Enginer Carley. Ken Sparks informed Cou~cil he will try to provide lighting for skating rinks at Lake Johanna and at the Village playground for the $250.00 to be allowed from Council funds. Upon motion by Stromquist, seconded by Delange, a request from the Mounds View recreation department for use of the Johanna rinks for figure skating and hockey was granted. Motion passed. Notice of vacation of plat for Shorewood Hills #3 WaS filed with Clerk. Letters from Rysgaad Contracting Co. and Arden Hills Lumber Mart, Inc. requesting revocation of building permit issued for commercial building at Connelly and County Road E were referred to Delange. Clerk to inform both parties that Council is ccnsidering the matter. Bernard Freil presented petition requesting rezoning of certain property at the Southeast corner of Stowe Avenue and Cleveland to be rezoned from residential to commercial. Attor ney Courtney informed Council that rezon- inf of land must be done by amendment to Zoning Ordinance, and that a public hearing may~:be held, but is not a legal requirement. Upon motion by Crepeau, seconded by DeLange, an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to rezone the land as described as follows"Lots 10, II and ~ 12, C.G. Rein Addition and unplatted areas directly north and abutting lots 12 and II extending from the rear line of lots 12 and II to Stowe Avenue and from Cleveland Avenue to the Northerly extension of the Easterly line of Lot II in Section 33, Township 30, Range 23" from residential to commercial was introduced by title. Motion passed. The matter was referred to the Public Welfare Committee as to whether or not a pUblic hearing should be held on the matter.
