Pursuant to due calJ. and notice thereof,
the Village Council of the Village of Arden Hills,

Mr. Roger Short, of Banister Engineering Company, Consulting Engineers,
presented to the Council proposed plans and specifications for Street Improvements
. numbered 3, 4 and 5, as c'lirected by the Council on Ma:y 8, 1961, a.1'ter approval. of the
prelimi"'3;ry reports for such improvements. Said plans and specifications were ex-
amined and considered and c'lirected to be placed on file in the ofi'ice of the Village
Clerk.

RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AlID SPECIFICATIONS
AlID DIRECTING J\DVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE
COJ.l1BTRUCTION OF STRDl' IMPROVEMEN'l'S NUMBERED
3, 4 AlID 5
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Arden Hills, Minnesota,
that prel imi",,'"Y to the hearings to be held on proposed StTest Impravements numbered
3, 4 and 5, under and pursuant to M:!..nnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, the Village Clerk
is hereby directed to cause notice of advertisement for bids for the construction of
each of said :l.m;provements, in accordance with the plans and specifica;tions therefor
now on file in the ofi'ice of the Village C1.erk, which plans and 'Specifications are
hereby approved, to be pub1.ished in the ofi'iciaJ. newspaper of the Village, The Rose
Tribune, and in the Construction Bu1.1.etin, at Minneapolis, M:!..nnesota, not less than
three weeks prior to June 16, 1.961.; which notice shall. require sea1.ed bids to be
filed at or before 2:30 o'clock P.M" Central. Da;y'1.igh:t Saving Time, on said date,

amount equal to at least lei of the amount of each bid, to be forfeited to the Vil-
lage if the successf'uJ. bidder t'a.1ls to enter into a contra.ct, sha.lJ. reserve the right
to retain the deposits of the three lowest bidders for a :period not to exceed thirty
~s, end shaJ.J. reserve the riglxt to hold all bids for thirty da;ys, to reject any and
all bids, to waive irregularities and informaJ.ities therein, and to award the cozrtract
to the best interests of the ViJJ.age; that plans and specifications, proposal forms
end contract documents shaJ.J. be made available to bidders at the office of the Engi-
neers and the Builders Exchanges in St. Pa.ul. and Minneapolis, Minnesota, and at the
office of the ViJJ.age Clerk, and copies thereof shaJ.J. be furnished to bona fide
bidders by the Engineers ~on payment of a reasons.b1.e deposit therefor; and that the
ViJJ.age Clerk end Banister Engineering Company, St. Paul, MiIJnesota, are hereby
authorized and directed to meet at the ViJJ.age Ha.lJ. at said t:lme for the purpose of
publicly opening the bids received :pursuant to such notice, end tabulating the same
in advance of the meeting at which they are to be considered by the Council.
