COURTNEY Control Data Traffic Trustee Crepeau informed the Council that the Contro" Data traffic problem has been s()'lved;,._the hamsey County Sheriff~s arranged for two Pinkerton Detective Agenoymen to be deputized to d ect traffic when necessary. Th~se men will obtain and return their, ba~to the Control Data office. '~ Detuty Clerk Status ~ At y. Courtney reported that the position of the Deputy Clerk under Plan~remain as before with the same powers, etc. Ordinance on Drive-Ins Atty. Courtney reported that he is giving further study to the matter of an Ordinance on~ive-ins in the Village. ~ ~ublic Hearings - Januar~ 25, 1965 , ~he Public Hearing regal' ing the rezoning from Commercial to Re~idential of the property at the northwest corner of County Road .u: and Snelling Avenue will be heard on Jant;l:'ry 25, 1905, at 8:00 p.m. Atty, Coul'tney , informed the Council that this property has been purchased by I~~~) P.:rQP~:rties. Courtney reported that he received a letter from Engr. Don Lund regarding the property Vacation of Ashbach property on Oak Avenue and 1., will report on the matter at a later date. Perry Plat '. Engr. Don Lund informed the Council that he anticipates a question of payment concerning sewer service to the proposed Perry Plat as he believes that the property on Stowe Avenle Was assessed for service, but the service is from New Brighton Road. Referred to Trustee Nethercut to mention the matter to Dick Jones. hJi:PORT OF BUILDING INSP. CLAY KELLEY Andy's Place Clay Kelley informed the COUncil that. at the request of a potential buyer. he had inspected Andy's Place, 1965 West Cov.!'lt~ Eioad D, and doe:r not believe the place to be suitable for conversioc to 3 resideDc~. ,colesEock Buildings Clay Kelley informed the Oouncil that he has the site pJ.en for the third Colestock building and will get the others. Trustee Nethercut requested the plans for the Planning Corrmission meeting of Janua~y 5. 1965. REPORT OF TRUSTEE NETHERCUT Skating Rink Attendants , M8intenance man Fred Nixon introduced John Benedict and Lyle McCallum to the Council; they are working with him on snow plowj~ng and also as attendants at the Lake Johanna skating rink. REPORT OF TRUSTEE DREPEAU Trustee Crepeau infottLed the Council that he. the Fire Chief and Village Heal th Officer, Dr. Farka s, he ve checked McGUire I s Suppa l' Club, the Big Ten. Lillndey's and l"lahertjTls Arden Bowl, and found them satisfactory. Christmas Tree Disposition Clerk Lol'!'aine Stromquist stated that she had received l3 complaint from a resident concerning the placement of discarded Christm8s trees near the storage building. Trustee Crepeau moved, seconded by Clerk Lorraine Stromquist, that Fred Nixon be authorized to pick up discarded trees and bnTl~ them on 'Ghe Village easement near the lift station; motion carried. Rill-ORT OF TRUSTEE OLMEN ~' . Snow-Birds Trustee Olmen recommended that the CouLcil consider an OI'dinance or ruling concerned cars parked on Village streets and hindering snow- plowing operations. The Council detennined that Fred Nixon be asked to submit a list of these vehicles owners to the Clerk's office and it will contact the owners. REPORT OF MAYOR KENNEDY Special Meeting Mayor Kennedy reminded the Council of the Special Meeting to be held on January 4, 1905. for the purpose of swearing in newly elected officers and also the committee appointments. Clerk Lorraine Stromquist informed the Council that she has a list of prospective members and Trustee- Elect Lang als'o has a list. Extract of Minutes of Meeting of the Village Council Village of Arden Hills County of Ramsey State of Minnesota Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular meet ing of the Village Council of the Village of Arden Hills, Ramsey . County, Minnesota, was duly held in the Village Hall at 1450 West Highway 96, Saint Paul, Minnesota, on Monday. the 28th day of Deeambil' , 1964, at 8'00 o'clock p.m. . , The following members were present: Kennedy. Nethareut. Crepeau. Olman and Stromquist and the following were absent: None Clerk Stromouist introduced the following resolution ~. and moved its adoption: ~ ~~ 1~ o '3b! RESOLUTION RELATING TO APPORTIONMENT ~"O'J.10, q ~ OF ASSESSMENTS RELATING TO SANITARY ()., P 16' SEWER IMPROVEMENT NO.3. y~ BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Arden Hills, Minnesota, as follows: WHEREAS, the assessment roll for Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 3 as last finally amended and adopted on October 12. 1961, was filed and certified to the County Auditor of Ramsey County on November 17, 1961 for the purpose of including installments thereof to be collected along with real estate taxes commencing in 1962; and WHEREAS, a hearing on supplemental assessments, reassessments, and apportionment of previous assessments in respect to Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 3 was held on July 16, 1962 at which time . assessments for Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 3 wer e amended as provided by said resolution of said date and certified and filed in the office of the County Auditor of Ramsey County on October 3, 1962; and . i, WHEREAS; slote that date a number of parcels of property contained within said assessment roll as amended have b.en divided and conveyed by pr~Vious property oWners; and WHEREAS, the County Auditor of Ramsey County requires that apportionment of the original assessment against each original tract where it has later been divided. sold or conveyed. be . made by the Village Council of the Village of Arden Hills in order that the proper assessment can be extended by the County Auditor against each parcel of property thereafter. commencing with an assessment to be collected in the year 1963 and there- after. NOW. THEREFORE. the Village Council of the Village of Arden Hills does hereby make the following apportionment of original assessments as contained in said assessment roll of October 12. 1961. and as amended as of July 16. 1962 against the following described properties: Original Assessment: (A) Ex E 260 ft of 5 250 ft; $210.00 the S 300 ft of N 1297.1 ft of W 435.6 ft of E Division 34013 525.6 ft of E 12 of SE lil (subj to esmts) in Sec 27. T 30. R 23. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Trustee Olme. , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: . and the following voted against the same: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
