RaIIl8ey COWlty. 141onesota Augll8t 29, 1967 PI1rsuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meetlog of the Village Council of the Village of Arden 81l1s, Minnesota. was held at the Lake Johanna Elementary School in said Village on Tuesday, August 29, 1967, at 7.30 o'clock p.m. The follow1ng members were present I Mayor Hetherout, COuDC/ilaen CJ:'epeau, Olaen, Bjorn4ahl and Bollenhorst. and the followlog were absent. NOne The Village Clerk presented an affidavit show1ng pub1Lca~Lon of notice of heariD9 on propoeed Water Improvement No. 67-1 10 accordance with the resolution adopted July 31, 1967, which affidavit was examined and fOWld to be satisfactory and was directed to be filed by the Clerk. The Village Clerk also ex- h1bited a Certificate of Malllog NOtice of Bearing to al1 affected property owners, which certificate was examined and fOWld to be satisfactory and was directed to be filed by the Clerk. The Mayor then directed the Clerk to read the description of the general aature and est1lllated coat of the proposed improve- ment and the area propoeed to be assessed therefor, as stated in the pUblished notice of hearlog. After reading of the notice, all persons present were afforded opportunity to be heard, and the names and addresses of the persons appearing and heard by the COWlcll, and the substance of the views presented by them were as follows. Asked if the water main would be laid in the llI.'idcUe of the road or on the side of the road.. Also wanted to know if he would be assessed on two sides of his property. After a discussion of the views presented by persons appearing at the public hearing for Water Improvement No. 67-1, Crepeau then introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ORDERItTG NATER I!1PROVE!-IENT NO. 67-1 UNDER AND PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES, CHAPTER 429, AS AHENDED. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Arden Hills, Minnesota, that in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, as amended, the Council held a public hearing pursuant to published and mailed notice, on proposed Water Improvement No. 67-1 consisting of the construction of a con- necting feeder water main to the PDseville water systems at Glenhill Road and Hamline Avenue, and extendin9 northerly and easterly to terminate at an elevated storage tank adjacent to Fernwood Avenue approximately 2000 feet north of County Road F, together with certain necessary distribution mains, largely located within the commercial and industrial area of the village which will also provide service connections to the property line, a meter station at the south village limits and a water booster station at approximately Red Fox Road, plus necessary fire hydrants and control valves and other appurtenances at a cost estimated presently to be approximately $630,250, all substantially in accordance with a preliminary engineering report which is now on file in the office of the Village Clerk; and having considered the views of all interested persons and being fully advised in the premises, the Council does hereby determine and order that said improvement shall be constructed and financed, and special assessments shall be levied therefor, pursuant to said Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, as amended, and that the area proposed to be assessed for said improvement will consist of the property as described in the notice of hearing, or portion thereof; and that the village engineers are hereby directed to prepare and submit to the Council final plans and specifications for the construction of said improvement.
