The apparent Ion bid of $3,028.00 was receIved from Southvlew Chevrolet, 303 North Concord Stroet, South St. Paul, Minnesota, with a delivery date from~5 to 75 days. Page Four Council Meeting Minutes ~1arch 25. 1966 The vi 'Iage is to purchase a used chassis as soon as possible to replace tho 1949 GMC truck to accommodate the tank; motion seconded by Council- man Hol lanhorst; motion carried. Clerk requested to apply for insurance on these vehicles and tax exempt licenses, and also to request Atty. Courtney to prepare a sales contr.act. Council requested the Public \.iorks Committoe to prepare specifications for a truck with a snow plow; the proposed sander attachment to be eliminated because of the purchase of Unit No.6. 'REPORT OF ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK LORRAINE STROMOUIST .Slqn Ordinance Clerk Lorraine Stromquist reported that many of the signs in the village ere stili not licensed. The owners have been contacted several times, but this has not been effective. The Finance Committee is considering the matter of a penalty charge for late applications. Mayor BJorndahl requested the Clerk to notify the owners by letter that if I icenses and permits are not obtained by Aprl I 22, 1968, the O,-d I nance w I II be enforced. Dog Ordinance Harold Nelson, 1212 Ti ller Lane, requested the vi I lage be patrolled for dogs at large; he suggested that this be done a s~ecified number of hours per day and also notification of the Ordinance published in the pape rs . Matter referred to Counei Iman Crepeau. Clerk Lorraine Stromquist informed the counc! I that many dog owners have not licensed their dogs this year, although the dead line Is January I. Mayor directed the Clerk to send letters to the dog owners shlting that unless the I !cense is obtained by Apri I 22, 1968. the Ordinance gill be enforced. Speed Limit SiRn Requests Clerk requested to comply with the request of Robt. Busch, 1909 Stowe Avenue, to contact Ramsey County for the posting of signs limiting the speed as low as possible on Stowe Avenue. Mayor BJorndahl requested the Clerk to also request a lower speed limit be posted on Lexington Avenue and County Road D; the school busses use this area as a turn around and a dangerous condition exists. The following members were present: Mayor BJorndahl, Councilman Olmen, Hollenhorst and Henderson. and the following were absent: Councilman Crepeau r.nfln,...;- I-m;\n -0 I mAn introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION RELATING TO APPORTIONMENT OF ASSESSMENTS RELATING TO SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT NO. 2 BE IT RESOLVED by the Vlllage Council of the Village of Arden Hills, Minnesota, as follows: WHEREAS, the assessment roll for Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 2 as last finally amended and adopted on october 12, 1961, was filed and certified to the County Auditor of Ramsey County on November 8, 1961, for the purpose of including installments thereof to be collected along with real estate taxes commencing in 1962; and WHEREAS, a hearing on supplemental assessments, reassessments and apportionment of previous assessments in respect to Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 2 was held on July 16, 1962, at which time assessments for Sanitary Sewer Improvement NO. 2 were amended as provided by said resolution of said date and certified and filed in the office of the County Auditor of Ramsey County on OCtober 3, 1962: and I , .. I) STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY VILlAGE OF ARDEN HILI.'3 RESOLUTION PROVIDING WORKMAN'S COMPENSATION COVERAGE FOR COUNCIL, ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK AND TREASURER WHEREAS, Sec. 176.011 of Minnesota Statutes Annotated, as amended in 1967, permits Workman's Compensation Coverage for elected or appointed officials of the municipality upon resolution or ordinance to that effect, and WHEREAS, the Council of Arden Hills desires to effect workman's compen- sation coverage for certain officials, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the members of the Council, the Administrative Clerk and the Treasurer of Arden Hills shall be included within the workman's compensation coverage provided by the Village of Arden Hills, and the proper officers of the Village are directed and authorized to obtain such coverage forthwith.
