Payment to Contractor, Sewer 12 - 13 Motion was made by Councilman Herrick, seconded by Councilman Olmen, that Engineer's Estimate No.3, Project No.2 In the amount of $36,172.80, be approved for payment to Lamettl & Sons, inc.; motion carried unan!mous~y. County Road F Repair Engineer Hendrickson reported that Ramsey County officials have agreed to repair County Road F west of Old Highway 10, although they feel the problem was caused by the Village allowing Falrvlew Ave. to be built. The County will try to get the work done this fall If weather permits. Property Easements Mrs. Stromquist reported thpt Attorney Courtney will write the Council a letter report concerning the status of various easements yet to be completed for Sewer Improvement 12 and 13. In all cases Waivers of Trespass were obtained where needed so that construction work could be done but certain final easement agreements with property owners are stili pending. Tax Forfeited Land Councilman Herrick requested Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist ~. to fefer ma~showlng tax forfeited parcels of land near Lake Lane ~C~ and the lots adjacent to the Philip Sampson lot, to the Parks and ',. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Olmen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: All and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Councilman Herrick then introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ADOPTING ~jD CONFIRMING SUPPLEMENTAL AND REASSESSMENTS FOR CONSOLIDATED WATER IMPROVEMENTS NOS. 68-2 AND 68-3 . BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Arden Hills, Minnesota, as follows: l. The amount proper and necessary to be specially reasse&sed or supplemental1y assessed at this time for Consolidated water 11 . . , - . Improvements Nos. 68-2 and 68-3 against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land affected thereby has been duly calculated upon the basis of benefits, without regard to cash valuation, in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, as amended, and notice has been duly published and mailed, as required by law, that this council would meet to hear, consider and pass upon all objections, if any, and said proposed supple- mental and reassessment has at all times since its filing been open for public inspection, and an opportunity has been given to all interested persons to present their objections, if any, to such proposed reassessments and said proposed reassessment has been amended as to certain parcels of land, by resolution duly adopted this date. 2. This Council, having heard and considered all objections so presented, and being fully advised in the premises, finds that each of the lots, pieces and parcels of land enumerated in the proposed supplemental or reassessment as so amended was and is specially benefited by the construction of said improvements in not less than the amount of the reassessment set opposite the descrip- tion of each such lot, piece and parcel of land, respectively, and such amount so set out is hereby levied against each of the respect- ive lots, pieces and parcels of land therein described. 3. The proposed supplemental or reassessments as amended are hereby adopted and confirmed as the proper special assessments for each of said lots, pieces and parcels of land respectively, and the supplemental or reassessment against each parcel, together with interest at the rate of 7% per annum accruing on the full amount thereof from time to time unpaid, shall be a lien concurrent with general taxes upon such parcel and all thereof. 4. The Village Clerk Administrator shall, as soon as may be, prepare and transmit to the County Auditor a certified duplicate of said supplemental and reassessment roll, with each installment and interest on each unpaid assessment set forth separately, to be extended upon the~oper tax lists of the county, and the county , Auditor shall thereafter collect said assessments in the manner pro- vided by law.
