Approval of Minutes The Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting OT March 12, 1973, were approved as submitted. . BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR _E~ectrlca~ Inspector Mayor Crepeau announced the resignation of Electrical Inspector Robert Cartier, effective Aprl~ 3, 0973, and IntrOduced Mr. Gunnar Pettersen, who expressed his deslrs to be appointed to flil the vacancy. Mayor Crepe8u referred the Council to Mr. Pettersen's letter of appli- cation, dated January~, 1973. Mr. Pettersen stated that he Is currentlly EijectlJ"lcal Inspector in Rose- yllle and Intends to continue In that capecity; he has talked with Mr. Tom Chock, ShorevJew, and wlli talk with North Oaks re possible appoint- ment In those villages. as weil. The Council thanked Mr. Pettersen for his Interest and asked him to con- tact Mrs. McNlesh after checking with Shorevlew and NOlFth Oaks. He said the project Is not as elaborata as the Banister proposal, but essentially the same; work to be done by the Village Instead of contracting It, resulting in the lower cost. The question of property assessment to pay the costs was raised. After discussion, the .atter was referred to Bud Johansen to contact Ramsey County re partlcipetlen In the cost of the Improve.ent; also to submit the proposal to Don Lund for his comments. Crlehton offered to check to see If State Aid Roads money can be used for ~ this type of Improyement. Ra.sey County Resolution No. 9-1648 Herrick requested that the matter be discussed by the Parks and Recreation Committee before being considered by the CouncIl.
