A stagIng proposal for utilities has been submItted to the Village Enplneer. 3.A cost estimate for landscaping has bean submItted to the Village Enpb1eer. The landscaplng.1 rm will furnish the requl red performance bond to assure,'<completlon. Village Council must'~et the amount of the bond. 4. The Council asked that Attorney Courtney and Attorney Copeland work out details I n the mettc r. At the request of Jlltnes Adams, the Councl! authorized the Issuanc:e of an excavation permit for the Arden ~enor project so that work can be started. Mr. Adams estimated that the excavation wi II take about th ree weeks. REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER DONALD LUND J. Belair Constructlon-f2. Upon the recommendation of Engineer Don Christoffersen, motion was made by Herrick, seconded by ~enderson, that the retainer for the J. Belair Construction Co. contract for Chas. Perry Park be reduced to 2 J and that Estimate No.4 In the amount of $15,322.25 be approved for payment, subject to receipt of a letter from ~r. Aelalr guaranteeing that sod for the park project will be sold to the Village by Jordan Landscape at the same cost agreed upon with the Belal~ Co.; motion carried unanrmous~y. The Council and Mr. Pelair agreed that the Village would lay the sod In tha project, and that the project cost to us would be reduced by $500.00. Storm Sewer System A letter report, dated June 12, 1972, t~om Engineer POller 5ho.rt relat- Ing to a proposed m~ster storm water drainage plan for Arden Hills was reviewed by EnRlneer Christoffersen. Engineer rhrlstoffersen recom- mended consideration of the purchase of a new aerial map to use with the proposed project. He will obtain an 6stlmate of cost for such map. ... Plans for the master plan would take about I year to complete. REPORT OF COUNCILMAN E. GRAY HENDEPSON - Finance 1973 Budest . Councilman Henderson sub~ltted ~uldellnes for 1973 budget preparetlon, as recommended by the Finance Committee and asked that all departments and committees concerned with the budget be made aware of them. Metro Sewer Board Meetln~~ Mr. Henderson reported on recent meetings held by the Metro Council and the Metro Sewer Board conc~l/'nlng reserve capacity In metro sewer Interceptors. There Is a possibility that Arden Hills, formerly entirely In Sewer District No. I, Illey be chcreed for reserve capacity for Interceptors In part of Sewer District No.2, because of property Involved In the recent land swap with New Brighton. If Arden Hills must participate In Sewer District No.2, our ~etro sewer costs will be higher. The Metro Council ruled that the change cannot be made, because of the effective date of completion of the land trade agree- ment. New Brighton may fIle a legal suit against the ~etro Council because of the ruling.
