Drainage - 3946 Glenvlew Avenue Mr. and Mrs. John Canniff, 3946 Glonvlew Avenue, complained of flood- Ing In their yard after every rain. EngIneer lund said both he and the f'ubu Ic Works maintenance department recently looked at the prop- erty. lie said the prOblem now Is caused ~ecause the underground Village drainage pipe Is frozen. Adams that the petition mllY have to be amended prior to the hearing date because he reCalls that a part of Mound Avenue was vacated previously. Counci I asked Attorney Courtne~' te determine whether or not ~cDonald & Associates can legally demand such arbitration, Mr. Courtney asked that the conformed con- trac-r for the project be mal led te him. - Minutes of Council Meeting -2- Mar. 27, 1972 REPORT OF ENGINEER DONALD lUND Wstcrmaln - Arden ~anor Engi~eer lund presented a revised Informal assessment report to cover casts for a w~termaln to Arden Manor. The report Gstlmated the project cost to be $200,000 and that assessments of $420 per acre and $7.50 per front foot be charged. Using this proposal, the Arden ~anor cost for the Improvement would be $47,580.00. The assess- ments raised with this proposal total $116,495 of the total $200,000 estimated cost. EngIneer Lund recommended that the 5200,000 cost estimate be given closer study. . Mr. James Adams stated he felt the cost for such water might be too high and that he could furnish water for his project with a private 12" Hell, which would be In addition to his existing 8" well. If such well Is put In h" felt he might be able 'to serve the west side of Round lake properties with water. Courtney, dated ~1arch 24, 1972 and the Planning Commission, dated ~'arch 20, 1972. ~lotlon was made by Hollenhorst, seconded by R. Herrick, that approval be gIven the Elde Terrace final plat, as submitted wIth Case No. 72-6, subject to the following condl'tlons: I. Receipt or a performance bond fn 'the amount of $24,188 'to guarantee Installation and completion of al I Improvements In accordance wtfh plans and specifications prepared by the VIllage Engineer. 2. Approval of the final plat by the Villape Engineer and the VI liege Attorney. 3. Case No. 72-10, Waste Control Rules and Requlatl~ Councilman Hollenhorst reviewed the Planning Commission recommenda- tion of March 20, 1972. Clerk Administrator to check with the Village Attorney to determine if these weste control rules and regu- lat!ons for the metro disposal system nre obligatory to Arden Hills. Mlcr,:> Wave Tower Prol1o!>al Mr. Jamss, MIdwestern Relay Co., and their attorney, Mr. Fred Memmer, requast~d CouncIl consideration to allow them to construct a 300 ft relay tower and a 26' x 48' bul !dlng on part of the property now owned by International Paper Company. They presented estimated costs as follows: (I) Tower - $10-15,000 (21 Building - $40,000 (3) Equipment In building and tower - up to $250,000. Adjustments were made to such accounts upon availability of a 4th quarter water use, In a~cordance with rate ordinance.
