OATHS OF OFFI CE tlerk Admlnistretor Charlotte McNlesh administered the Oath of Office of Mayor to Henry J. Crepeau, Jr. and the Oath of Office of Councilman to Werd Hanson and James Wingert. APPROVAL OF MINLTES Crichton moved, secondec by Hanson, that Council approve the Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of December 27,1976, as amended. Motion carried .nanlmously. BUSINESS FROM ~HE FLOOR Radar Oven Presentation - Kniohts of Columbus Jim Eddelston, Gral,iff<n'ight and Gene McCallum and Tom Lynch, Past Grand Knights of '~he Nazareth Counci I o'f i'he Knights of Columbus, No. 421, presented a raciar oven to the Arden Hi lis Counci I for use by the Public Wcrks Department. Mayor Crepeau accepted the oven, on behalf of the Public WorkS Department emplevees, and expressed Council's ",ppreciation to the Knights of Colurrbus. 'jloodburn moved. seconded by Hanson, that Counci I order a plaqu,) signifying the donor of the ovnn. Popovich noted a cost advantage in seilirlg bonds for both the f'efunding and Karth Lake Improvement issues at the same time: also advised that if issues are not combined a 3 month separation between sales Is desirable. Popovich advised he would need at least 3 weeks to gather information: could sell bonds on February 14 - 1,5, if Council authorizes the refunding by about January 15th. After discussion, Crichton moved, seconded by Hanson, that Council adopt Resolution No. 77-4 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC SALE OF $500,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION REFUNDING BONDS OF 1977; time and place of sale to be February 14, 1977, <'It the Arden Hi I Is City Hall at 8:00 p.m.; authorized execution of the Resolution by the Mayor and Clerk Administrator. Motion carried unanimously. Donation for Vi Ilage Publ ic Services - the Presbyterian Homes Mayor Crepeau acknowledged the Vi Ilage's receipt of $500.00 from Presbyterian Homes for publ;c services rendered by the Village, and requested the Clerk Administrator 'ro express the Council's appreciation In a ietter to Presbyterian Homes. Resolution No. 77-1. Desi~nation of Depositories and Corporate Authorization ReSolution ~,'oodburn moved, secOllded by Crichton, that Counci I adopt Resolution No. 77-1, DESIGNATION OF DEPOSITORIES AND CORPORATE AUTHORIZATION RESOLUTiON, Motion carried unanimously. Resolution No. 77-2, Designation of Additional Depositories For Investment Purposes , Crichton moved;-seconded by Wingert,. that Council adopt Resolution No. 77-2, DESIGNATiON OF ADDITIONAL DEPOSITORIES FOR INVESTMENT PURPOSES, authorlzinq .~merlcan Netional Bank of St. Paul, Northwestern National Bank of St. Paul, First National Bank of Minneapolis and Northwestern Nationa! Dank of 1\1inneapc!!s as additional deposl-i-ories. Motion carried unanimously. Resolution No. 77-3, Resolution for Transfer of Funds by Telephonic Instructions. Wingert moved, ssconded by Hanson, that Council adopt Resolution No. 77-3, RESOLUTION FOR TRANSFER or FUNDS BY TELEPHONIC INSTRUCTIONS, authorizing Donald Lamb, Charlotte McNiesh and Charles Crichton to make telephonic transfers. Motion carried unanimously. 1977 Committee Appointments Wingert moved, seconded by Hanson, that Councl I Committee Appointments as amended and attached. unanimously. approve the 1977 Motion carried . Council discussed the format of the Public Hearing and authorized Planner Fredlund to make the presentation of the Proposed Ordinance and to answer questions posed at the meeting. Fredlund was requested to prepare transpBrancies of the proposed zonin~ map and tables (Land Use Chart and District Requirements) to be used as visual aids. . Council requested th."t wrl"Uen stat"ments for Council's consideration be submitted before or during the hearing, 0, to the Village Office after the hearing.
