Call to Order
The meetlng-was cal led to order by Mayor Crepeau at 7:33 p.m.
Roll Call
Present - Mayor Henry J. Crep~au, Jr., Councilmen Robert Woodburn,
Will i~m Feyereisen, James Winger~
Absent - CouncIlman Charles Crichton.
Also Present - treasurer Donald Lamb, Clerk Administrator Charlotte
McNiesh, Deputy Clerk Dorothy Zehm.

Woodburn moved, seconded by Feyereisen, -that the Minutes of the Regular
Council Meeting of January 26, 1976, be approved as submitted. Motion
carried unanimously.

Com~ehenslve Development Plan
The Land Use Plan (fol lowing page 31) was reviewed, noting the follow-
i ng :
I. Southerly east-west col lector road (Haml ine Avenue to Snelling
Avenue) south of Highway 96, appears to be too far north -
should be south of Pemtom development.
2. Valentine Park (County Road F and Old Highway 10) does not
show clearly as a park.
3. Following streets ar13 not Indicated:
a) Hunters Park (Behton Way, Waldon Place, Hunters Court
and Harriet Avenue).
b) Nursery HIli lane.
e) PAmtcm'~ Townhcu~A Vlifa~e (Arden View Court and Arden
View DrIve.
Changes noted were not considered to be significant enough to change
map.
In review of the Comprehensive Plan, the following changes were made:

Review of the Zoning Ordinance commenced on page 1-7, definitions
46 and 47 - clarification of both definitions is needed.

Delete last sentence.

Put a period after materials (1st sentence) and delete
"provided such use wll I not generate offensive odors, glare,
smoke, dust, noise, vibrations, or other objectionable
influences that extend beyond the lot on whlch the use is
located."

wood construction, sixty (60) years for buildings of wood
and masonry construction, and sevenjy (70) years for buildings
of fireproof construction.

Parks Department
Council referred to two memos from Parks Director John Buckley, dated
2/2/76,

A. ~dent Intern - Council approved preparation of conCeptual
plans for Cu~mlngs Park, by Ms. Gange, and that Buckley pursue
availability of another student to assist in preparation of
Floral Park Improvement Plan, under similar cost arrangement.
B. Replacement Mower for Howard - Referred to Crichton, prior to
Council action.
C. SkatinQ Hours- Council concurred that rink hours be determined
by Parks Director.
D. ProQram leaders - Wingert moved, seconded by Woodburn, that
Council approve the employment of Jane Hagle @ $3.50/hour as
Co-Rec Volleyball leader, and Susan Va.les as Girls' Gymnastics
leader @ $5.00/hour when head instructor and @ $3.00/hour when
assistant. Motion carried unanimously.
Fire Sub-committee MeetinQ
Crepeau reported that the Fire Sub-committee discussed proposed pur-
chase of radio equipment (pagers and monitors) at a cost of approxi-
mately $15,000, to replace cost of dispatching (about $4800/year).
Also discussed was proposed purchase of 100' ladder truck; specifica-
tions are to be reviewed by committee of municipal and fire department
representatives prior to next meeting of Sub-committee (Crichton to
represent Arden Hills>.
Adjournment
Wingert moved, seconded by Feyereisen, that the meeting adjourn at
11:25 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
