Minutes of Special Council Meeting
Village of Arden Hills
Thursday, JUne 25, 1981 - 7:00 a.m.

Call to Order
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Woodburn
called the meeting to order at 7:30 a.m.

Also Present - Clerk Administrator Charlotte McNiesh,
Representatives of the Arden Hills
Business Community
Purpose of Meeting
The meeting was scheduled, at the request of the business
community, to review the status of various improvements and
discuss commercial/industrial development in the Village.
Areas of Discussion
County Road E - Underground utilities are currently being
installed, street ligh}ing bid award scheduled for June 29th
Council Meeting, MnDOT plans for semaphores at east and west
ramps of Highway 51. Bids have been somewhat lower than
estimated in feasihi1ity report.
Ramsey County Improvement of Lexington Avenue
Mayor Woodburn stated that the earliest construction could
start would be next spring, semaphore is to be installed
at Lexington/County Road F intersection, widening of Lexing-
ton Avenue is contingent upon 694/Lexington Avenue Storm
Drainage Project.
Storm Drainage Improvement
Engineer is completing plans and specifications, advertise-
ment for bids on project will probably be in July.
Grey Fox Ro ad
Council has authorized preparation of plans and specifications.
Flaherty's Gas Station
Concern was expressed by the business community regarding this
eyeaore on County Road E. Business community would like to
see undeveloped land on County Road E developed.

Agendas
Council concurred with a request to furnish agendas for Council
and Planning Commiasion Meetings to McGuire's and EUlene Cole-
stock. Agendas to be sent Friday preceding meetinga. Next
Town Crier will include notice of agenda locations.
Future Meetings
Busineas community suggested continuing these special meetinga
on a quarterly basis, either as breakfaat meetings at 7:.a.m.
or afternoon meetings from 5 - 7 p.m.
