MINUTES
CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA
REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
May 24, 1993

Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor sather called
to order the regular City Council meeting at 7:30 p,m,
Present: Mayor Thomas sather; Councilmembers Beverly
Aplikowski, Dale Hicks, PaUL Malone, Dennis Probst, Also
present were: Clerk Administrator, Dorothy Person;
Recording Secretary, Shar Foster.
ADOPT AGENDA
Note was mane that the agenda had been revised to include
Consent Calendar ltems "i~~ and lljll.
MOTION:
Malone moved, seconded by Hicks. to adopt the May 24,
1993 agenda including the addition of Consent Calendar
items "i" and Iljll. Motion carried unanimously (5-0).

Councilmember Probst reported that Arden Hills' request
rega r-ding the TWln Cl. ti es Army Ammuni tions plant property is
currently lIon hold1' waiting a report on availability. He
added that ln addition to the availability report, an
environmental assessment may need to be completed, and it
appears to be acceptable for the necessary environmental
assessment work to be accomplished under the direction of
Arden Hills and Ramsey County. Perhaps the city and County
may wish to consider directing that task.
PARK AND RECRF;ATION UPDATES
Councilmember Probst reported that the City recently held
the ":flower por..,terlt weekend whet-e volunteers help to beautify
1~he Clty wi_th plantings.
Probst announced that t})e Park and Recreation Department is
seeK ng Ili:ereRted voLl"nteers to serve as coaches for the
Cityfs baseball ~rogram.
Councilmember Ma one as~ed it there lS a trail paving plan
for i993. Councllmember Probst answered nOI that the Park
and Recreation Capltal I~provements Plan currently proposes
trali paving on even numbered years. Councilmember Hicks
add,ed Lhat tennis court lmpt'OVementt, are planned for this
year.
