Call to Order Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Woodburn called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Roll Call Present :- t~ayor Robert Woodburn, Councilmen Diane McAllister, Thomas Mulcahy, Dale Hicks, Michael Christiansen. Absent - None. Also Present - Treasurer Donald Lamb, Clerk Administrator Charlotte McNiesh. Oaths of Office Clerk Administrator McNiesh administered the oath of office to Mayor Woodburn. Mayor Woodburn administered the oaths of office to Councilmen Hicks and Christiansen. 1983 Vi Ila~e Appointments Council reviewed the list of appointments submitted by the Mayor for consultants, staff, Inspectors, etc. It was noted that the auditor appointment Is for the audit of 1982 accounts. Hicks moved, seconded by.Mulcahy, that Council approve the appointments as listed (from Acting Mayor through Official Newspaper). Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) Mayor Woodburn administered the oath of office to Treasurer Lamb and Clerk Administrator McNlesh. Woodburn submitted a list of appointments for representatives and alternates to various boards. (5-0) Woodburn noted that committee liaison appointments do not have to have Councl I approval; named Hicks as liaison to Planning Commission and Board of Appeals, Christiansen to Finance and Public Works Committees, Mulcahy to Parks and Recreation Com- mittee and Human Rights Commission, MeAl lister to Public Safety, Newsletter and Cable TV Advisory Committees. Resolution No. 83-1 Hicks moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Counci I approve Resolu- tion No. 83-i, DESIGNATION OF DEPOSITORIES AND CORPORATE AUTHORIZATION RESOLUTION, as amended. Motion carried unani- mously. (5-0) . Resolution No. a3-2 MeAl I ister moved, seconded by Hicks, that Council approve Resolution No. 83-2,DESIGNATION OF ADDITIONAL DEPOSITORIES FOR INVESTMENT PURPOSES. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) Resolution No. 83-3 Hicks moved, seconded by MeAl lister, that Councl I approve Resolution No. 83-3, DESIGNATION OF BROKERAGE FIRMS FOR INVEST- MENT PURPOSES. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) Resolution No. 83-4 Christiansen moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Councl I Resolution No. 83-4, RESOLUTION FOR TRANSFER OF FUNDS TELEPHONIC INSTRUCTIONS. January 3, 1983 Resolution No. 83-5 Hicks moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Councl I approve Resolution No. 83-5, RESOLUTION COMMENDING ROBERT O. ASHBACH. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) Traffic Signal Revisions Hicks moved, seconded by McAllister, that Council approve the traffic signal revisions at Highway 10 and 96 and authorize Mayor to sign title page. Motion carried (4-0-1, Mulcahy abstained) 1983 Committee Appointments The Council noted that this year there has been a very good response from citizens volunteering to serve on committees and commissions. (Approximately 90 people have volunteered.) After discussion, Hicks moved, seconded by McAllister, that Councl I approve committee appointments as amended. Motion carried unanimously (5-0) . 1983 Salaries Hicks moved, seconded by MeAl lister, that the 1983 salary schedule be approved as amended. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0 ) Claim MeAl I ister moved, seconded by Hicks, that Council approve January claim for Metropolitan Waste Controi Commission. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) Counci I Meeting Schedule Christiansen moved, seconded by Hicks, that the Council Meeting scheduled for Monday, January lOth be cancelled; meeting re.scheduled for Tuesday, January 11th at 7:30 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
