Ca II to Order
Pursuant to due ca II and notice thereof, Mayor Woodburn ca lied
the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m.
Roll Ca II
Present - Mayor Robert Woodburn, Councilmen Diane MeAl lister,
Maurice Johnson, Dale Hicks, Thomas Mulcahy.
-. Absent - None.
Also Present - Clerk Administrator Charlotte McNlesh.
Business from the Floor
None.
I 982 City Election
Following review of the attached statement of results of the
canvass of votes cast at the November 2nd election, McAllister .'
moved, seconded by Mulcahy, to accept the election report and
declare Robert L. Woodburn elected Mayor for a two-year term,
Michael E. ChrIstiansen and Dale R. Hicks elected Councilmen
for four year terms and Thomas R. Mulcahy elected Councilman
to f I II the unexpIred term ending December 31, 1984. Motion
carried unanimously. (5-0)
Resolution No. 82 -59 - Installation of Dr. Brushaber as
President of Bethel Co I lege
Hicks move d , seconded by Johnson, that Council approve Resolu-
tion No. 82-59. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0)
Request for Special Event Sign - Pizza Hut
In the discussion, Council expressed concerns about setting a
precedent If the promotional ban ne r Is approved; banners
might not be wel I maintained, aesthetic effect If a number of
businesses were simultaneously displaying banners.
Hicks moved, seconded by Mulcahy, that Councl I approve the
Special Event Banner for the Pizza Hut E.T. Glassware promotion
for 30 days, banner not to project above facade and to be
maintained In good cond It j on. Motion carried unanimously.

Youth Service Bureau - Board of Directors
Mayor Woodburn reported that Don Severson requested that a
mature Junior or senior be appointed to represent Mounds View
High School on the Youth Service Bureau Board of 01 rectors.
Council concurred that the request be publicized in the next
Town Crier, interested students to contact the Village office.
CI vi I Defense Siren
-. Johnson reported that the new clvi I defense siren was heard
very clearly at severa I locations on November 3rd. Hicks re-
ported that he thought he had heard a siren at 1:00 a.m. and
again at 5:00 a.m. on November 3rd.
Adjournment
Johnson moved, seconded by Hicks, that the meeting adjourn at
6:02 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0)
