ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
FEBRUARY 17, 1994
8 :00 A.M.
Present : Tom Goblirsch, Brian Fritsinger, Jerry Moehnke, Dan
McCallum, Mary Miller, Steve Freimuth, Trygve Egge, Terry
Nagle, Beverly Aplikowski, and Thomas Steele . Absent :
Arnold Lindberg.
1 . Meeting was called to order at 8 : 07 a.m.
2 . Approval of Minutes
Moehnke moved and Miller seconded the motion to approve the
January 20, 1994 minutes .
3 . Business Survey
Mr. Moehnke reviewed the format of the proposed survey. Some
of the general comments were to; add the phone number next to
the address; try to get the survey on one page; address
envelope directly to company president and enclose a self
addressed stamped envelope; boxes should be added for easy
check off on questions .
II/ A question was raised if the survey should be re-tooled for
the six to ten companies which are largest in Arden Hills .
The issue was not resolved.
The survey should be completed and mailed as soon as possible .
The committee will get the final draft to Mr. Fritsinger at
City Hall . Mr. Fritsinger will then fax the draft to each of
the committee members for review.
4 . Letter of Introduction
Overall the committee thought the letter looked good. The
City will look at copying the letter on letterhead rather than
sending it to a printer. Mr. Lindberg should sign the
original letter. Mr. Moehnke should be identified as vice-
chairperson.
Beverly Aplikowski will try to revamp the letter to include
names and numbers of all committee members . A final draft,
sent to Brian Fritsinger, will be faxed with the survey to
each member of the committee .
5 . Oath of office - The oath of office was administered to Trig
Egge, Steve Freimuth, and Terry Nagle.
6 . Miscellaneous - Beverly Aplikowski discussed the resignation
of Mr. Charles Stoddard. This leaves open 1 seat on the
• committee . Possibly talk to Ray McGraw about volunteering.

7 . Next meetings are scheduled at 8 : 00 a.m. at the Army Reserve
Center on March 17, April 21 and May 19 . The next agenda will
include final review of survey/letter, business list and
meetings .
8 . Meeting adjourned at 9 : 20 a.m.
