MINUTES
ARDEN HILLS TASK FORCE
TO
ESTABLISH AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
NOVEMBER 18, 1993
Present :
Terry Nagel, Mary Miller, Beverly Aplikowski, Brian Fritsinger,
Arnold Lindberg, Jerry Moehnke, Steve Freimuth, Tom Goblirsch.
Absent was Tom Giguere and Dan McCallum.
1 . The meeting began at 8 : 00 a.m. and introductions were
made .
2 . The Minutes of October 22, 1993 were approved. Staff was
directed to send the new members the Minutes from all
past meetings .
3 . General Discussion: For all members a copy of the
Resolution establishing an Economic Development
Committee . A copy of this Resolution should also be sent
to Gary Wink at Chamber of Commerce .
The City should solicit in the paper for anyone else
. interested in serving on the Committee . Brian will
obtain a list of businesses from the Chamber of Commerce
for review at next meeting. Other members will contact
the National Federation of businesses and Dunn and
Bradstreet .
Brian and Mary will work on Letter of Introduction to
area businesses, local banks, developers, and realtors .
Mary will draft the letter and then contact Brian.
Staff should prepare several additional color coordinated
City Maps .
At the next meeting, the Committee should discuss the contents of
a survey to be used with area businesses . This survey will include
some questions similar to the following:
1 . How do you feel about Arden Hills?
2 . What can be changed?
Staff should be sure to send several examples of survey to everyone
with next agenda packet .
The next meeting will be December 16 at 8 : 00 a.m. The meeting will
be held at City Hall Conference Room.
