• MINUTES
ARDEN HILLS TASK FORCE
TO
ESTABLISH AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
OCTOBER 22, 1993
Present:
Mary Miller, Beverly Aplikowski, Brian Fritsinger, Vern Freeh,
Steve Freimuth, Tom Goblirsch. Absent was Tom Giguere and
Terry Nagle.
1. Minutes from the September 17 , 1993 meeting were approved.
2 . Mission Statement was approved.
3 . Potential Members/Committee Structure
Task force members were polled as to their availability and
desire to serve on the ED Committee. All present said yes
except Vern Freeh who is unable to serve due to other
commitments. Other potential members are Jerry Moehnke of
Accurate Component, 1463 Bussard; Dan McCallum of McCallum
Transfer, 1421 Skiles Lane; and Arnold Lindberg, 3520 Siems
Court.
411 4 . Work Plan
Mr. Freeh recommended that a work plan be established to serve
as a road map for the first year. A schedule and time table
should be included.
Questions were raised as to how best to develop a list of
business contacts. Staff should contact the Chamber of
Commerce for a list. The Committee may want to consider
contacting the property owners in addition to the renters.
Maybe a kickoff meeting at Ramada inviting all of the
businesses. The committee may also consider announcing its
formation through the residents newsletter or business
newsletter.
Rather than a general meeting, Mr. Goblirsch thought that
several small focus group gatherings would be more
appropriate.
S
