MINUTES OF CITY ELECTION
CITY OF ARDEN HILLS
November 4, 1986
At the City Election of the City of Arden Hills, County of Ramsey, State of
Minnesota, held at the City of Arden Hills, Precinct I, Precinct 2, Precinct 3,
Precinct 4 being the places it was directed to be held by the City Council,
after giving due notice thereof as provided by law, on the 4th day of November,
1986, the Election Boards, being qualified voters of said City to act as judges
of such election, each of whom had before such time been designated and
appointed by the City Council to act as judges of such election, each of whom
duly took and subscribed an oath to faithfully discharge the duties required of
. them at such election; and the said judges being duly qualified and trained
forthwith opened the polls by proclamation, and the election pro~eeded by
ballot without adjournment or intermission until closed.
The subjects voted on at such election, as stated in the Notice, thereof, were:
To Elect one Mayor for a term of four years.
To Elect two Council members for terms of four years.
At 8:00 p.m. of said day the polls were closed. The judges then proceeded to
publicly count and canvass the votes, and a true statement thereof was duly
proclaimed to the voters by the Clerk Administrator who recorded the same in
the City Minute Book.
STATEMENT OF RESULT OF CANVASS
The following is a true statement of the result of the counting and canvass of
votes by ballot at the City Election of the City of Arden Hills. County of
Ramsey and State of Minnesota, held Tuesday, November 4, 1986, as proclaimed to
the voters by the Election Judges:
Thomas R. Sather received 1,l46 votes for Mayor
Robert L. Woodburn received 1.769 votes for Mayor
Write Ins received o votes for Mayor
Robert L. Woodburn was declared elected Mayor for a four year term.
Nancy K. Hansen received 2,029 votes for Council member
Dale R. Hicks received 1,520 votes for Council member
Thomas R. Mulcahy received 1,419 votes for Council member
Write Ins received 3 votes for Council member
Nancy K. Hansen and Dale R. Hicks were declared elected Council members for
terms of four years.
