Village Hall Call to Order Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Woodburn called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Roll Call Present: Mayor Robert Woodburn, Councilmembers Thomas Sather, Dale Hicks, Nancy Hansen Councilmember Gary Peck David Weir and Jim Durda (Woodbridge Properties) Deputy Clerk Dorothy Zehm Absent: Also Present: . Business from the Floor None Case No. 86-10, Site Plan Amendment, BuildinR C, Northpark Business Center, WoodbridRe Properties Woodburn noted that at the Regular Council meeting on April 14, a motion to table the motion to the next Council meeting was passed. Hansen moved to bring the motion to the floor at this time. Motion was seconded by Hicks and carried unanimously. (4-0) Hansen moved, seconded by Hicks, that Council approve the site plan as amended (Case No. 86-10). In discussion, Sather said that he feels the City has been "short changed" relative to the park dedication for Northpark Business Center ($35,000 oVer ten years, payable in equal annual installments); suggested to Dave Weir that he consider a reduced cash park dedication of $25,000, payable at building occupancy. Weir suggested that if the City wants to re-open this issue, it be done as a separate issue; explained he would have to go back and present the matter to his financial people. Weir said it is not their goal to leave anyone disappointed - not their intention; said he can and will ask his people about a lump sum payment; stated he does not want to create any false expectations; said he will pursue the suggested lump sum payment with his people; said that they can certainly examine this and they will do this. Sather suggested to Weir that he respond to the City in 30 to 45 days. Weir noted that they have already paid a portion of the park dedication for this development. Hicks suggested to Weir that a "reasonable" interest rate might also be an alternative for consideration by Woodbridge. Weir noted the on site amenities which should be considered by the City; noted that most industrial and officQ workers enjoy site amenities more than they benefit from City parks; suggested that the basis for determining park dedication be reviewed; feels park dedication in Arden Hills is high compared to other cities. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) . Ad;ournment Sather moved, seconded by Hicks, that the meeting adjourn at 5:52 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
