�r, <br /> EN HILLS <br /> ORDINANCE NO.2025-006 <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2 -ADMINISTRATION, SECTION 220- <br /> BOARDS, COMMITTEES,AND COMMISSIONS, SECTION 220.02- ECONOMIC <br /> DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution No. 2025-078, increasing the number of <br /> members of the Economic Development Authority of the City of Arden Hills (EDA) from five to <br /> seven among other matters; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City desires to amend the Arden Hills Code of Ordinances pertaining to the EDA <br /> to be consistent with the aforementioned resolution. <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA, ORDAINS: <br /> SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. Chapter 2- Administration, Section 220 — Boards, Committees, <br /> and Commissions, Section 220.02—Economic Development Authority in the Arden Hills Code of <br /> Ordinances is hereby amended by deleting the stFusk thfeugh text and adding the underlined text <br /> as follows: <br /> Subd. 1 Authorization. Pursuant to Resolution 96-8, the City has created an Economic <br /> Development Authority to be known as the "Economic Development Authority of the City of <br /> Arden Hills" ('EDA"). The EDA has all of the powers, rights, duties, and obligations set forth in <br /> Minnesota Statutes §469.090 through §469.1081, as amended, from time to time. <br /> Subd. 2 Governing Board. The EDA shall be governed by a Board of five-( )-seven 7 <br /> Commissioners. Five (5) of the commissioners who-shall be Members of the City Council, which <br /> term shall coincide with their term of office. The two (2) remaining members shall be appointed <br /> by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council from the membership of the Economic <br /> Development Commission for six-year terms, which terms shall coincide with their terms on the <br /> Economic Development Commission. If there is a vacancy in the term of a commissioner,then the <br /> Council by majority vote shall appoint a commissioner to serve the remainder of the unexpired <br /> term in the manner the originalppointment was made. <br /> SECTION 2. SUMMARY PUBLICATION. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 412.191, <br /> in the case of a lengthy ordinance, a summary may be published. While a copy of the entire <br /> ordinance is available without cost at the office of the City Clerk, the following summary is <br /> approved by the City Council and shall be published in lieu of publishing the entire ordinance. <br /> The text amendment adopted by the Arden Hills City Council increases the <br /> number of Economic Development Authority commissioners from five to seven <br /> and provides that two of the commissioners shall be appointed from the <br /> members of the Economic Development Commission. <br />
