RESOLUTION NO. 76-47
WHEREAS, the Arden Hills City Council has considered the
.
recommendations of a committee consisting of representatives from the Cities
of Shoreview, Arden Hills, and North Oaks, relating to the fire service and
fire equipment needs of the three cities; and
WHEREAS, the Arden Hills City Council has determined that it would
be in the best interests of the City of Arden Hills to join with the Cities of
Shoreview and North Oaks to continue to jointly purchase fire protection
services; to purchase and maintain fire fighting equipment and facilities;
to establish a Joint Fire Protection Board; and to allocate the costs incurred
for fire protection service, equipment, and facilities in a reasonable manner
ell pursuant to the Joint Powers Agreement which is attached hereto.
NOW', THEREFORE, be it resolved that:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute
the Joint Powers Agreement attached hereto.
2. Council Member Charles Crichton is hereby appointed until December
31, 1976, as Ardeu Hills' representative on the Joint Fire
Protection Board created pursuant to the Joint Powers Agreement
attached hereto.
