RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PREPARATION

WHEREAS storm water runoff from the tributary area of
Ramsey County Ditch No. 12 occasionally occurs In volumes that
overload the existing drainage facilities, causing flooding and
other related proble~$.
WHEREAS Ramsey County Ditch No. 12 tributary area is
within the municipalities of Arden Hi! Is and Shoreview. The
tributary area also includes public lands controlled by Ramsey
County and the Minnesota Department of Highways.
WHEREAS future development within Ramsey County Ditch
No. 12 tributary area is dependent in part on the existence
of good drail1age faci Ilties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counci I of
Arden Hi lis that the Counci I authorize the preparation of a
Joint Powers flgreement between the City of Arden Hills, the City
of Shoreview, Ramsey County and the Minnesota Department of
Highways. The purpose of this Joint Power Agreement is to
define the responsibilities of each agency and the preparation
of a prel iminary drainage plan acceptable to ai' the agencies.
