RESOLUTION NO. 06-32
AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR A
CONTAMINATION CLEANUP GRANTS FROM THE
MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT AND RAMSEY COUNTY
WHEREAS the City of Arden Hills has approved the Contamination Cleanup
grant applications submitted to the Department of Employment and Economic
Development and Ramsey County on May 1, 2006, by the City of Arden Hills for
the property at 1901 Gateway Boulevard, the ATS Steel site; and,
WHEREAS the City acts as the legal sponsor for the project contained in the
Contamination Cleanup Grant Program and that the City Administrator is hereby
authorized to apply to the Department of Employment and Economic
Development and Ramsey County for funding on this project on behalf of the
City; and,
WH EREAS the City has the legal authority to apply for financial assistance, and
the institutional, managerial, and financial capability to ensure adequate project
administration; and,
WHEREAS the source and amounts of the local match identified in the
application are committed to the project identified; and,
WHEREAS the City has not violated any Federal, State, or local laws pertaining
to fraud, bribery, graft, kickbacks, collusion, conflict of interest or other unlawful
or corrupt practice; and,
WHEREAS upon approval of its application by the state and the county, the City
may enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota and Ramsey County for
the above-referenced project, and that the City certifies that it will comply with all
applicable laws and regulations as stated in all contract agreements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Administrator is hereby
authorized to submit the Contamination Cleanup grant application to the
Department of Employment and Economic Development and Ramsey County,
and is authorized to execute such agreements as are necessary to implement
the project on behalf of the applicant.
