RESOLUTION NO. 06-40
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE PURCHASE OF THE TWIN CITIES ARMY
AMMUNITION PLANT
WHEREAS, the Army has declared 585 acres of the Twin Cities Army Ammunition
Plant property as excess and,
WHEREAS, the Army has expressed interest in transferring this excess property to
the City of Arden Hills and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to direct and oversee the
development of this property and,
. WHEREAS, the City is intending to partner with a Master Developer for the
purchase and redevelopment of the property,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Council do hereby
approve the purchase of the Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant excess property for a base
price of $45 million dollars to be paid by said Master Developer, subject to an agreement of
an offer to purchase,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Arden Hills acknowledges the significant
support of Senator Nonn Coleman in the process that led to the agreement of the base value
in this purchase.
