RESOLUTION NO. 05-46
RESOLUTION APPROVING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT AMENDMENT FOR
PRESBYTERIAN HOMES
WHEREAS: on May 31,2005 Senior Housing Partners on behalf of Presbyterian
Homes submitted a completed application for review of a Special Use Permit
Amendment which would allow an addition to the south end of the McKnight
Care Center on the Presbyterian Homes property located at 3220 Lake Johanna
Boulevard in Arden Hills.
WHEREAS: on July 6, 2005, a public hearing was held by the Planning Commission
reviewing the application by Senior Housing Partners on behalf of Presbyterian
Homes and at the conclusion of the public hearing the Planning Commission
unanimously recommended approval subject to seven (7) conditions of approval
and after considering the effect on the proposed use based upon health, safety,
convenience and general welfare of the owners and occupants of the
surrounding land, in particular, and the community as a whole, in general,
including but not limited to the following factors:
existing and anticipated liquid or solid waste, and other nuisance
characteristics; drainage; population density; visual and land use
compatibility with uses and structures on surrounding land; adjoining land
vaiues; park dedications where applicable, and the orderly development of
the neighborhood and the City within the general purpose and intent of the
orderly development of the neighborhood and the City within the general
purpose and intent of this ordinance and the Comprehensive
Development Plan for the City.
WHEREAS: on July 11,2005, the City Council received the recommendations of the
Planning Commission.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Council of the City of Arden Hills
approves the Special Use Permit Amendment for Presbyterian Homes, dated July 11,
2005.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS THIS 11th
DAY OF JULY, 2005.
