<br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Police Week in Ramsey County <br />May 11-16, 2026 <br />WHEREAS, In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace <br />Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15 falls, as National Police <br />Week; and <br /> WHEREAS, There are approximately 900,000 law enforcement officers serving in <br />communities across the United States, including the dedicated members of the Ramsey <br />County Sheriff’s Office; and <br /> WHEREAS, uniformed Patrol Sworn Staff dedicated to the contract cities include <br />Deputies, including K9 handlers and their K9 Partners, patrol shifts, school resource officers, <br />and water patrol deputies; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Criminal Investigative Unit contains sworn <br />investigators including dedicated sex crimes investigator, Civilian Analysts/support staff and <br />the Electronic Crimes Unit; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, National Police Week pays special recognition to law enforcement <br />officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others; <br />and <br /> WHEREAS, The service and sacrifice of Ramsey County suburban law enforcement <br />officers who died in the line of duty will be honored during the Ramsey County Suburban <br />Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony on May 14th, 2026; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT PROCLAIMED, The City of Arden Hills City <br />Council recognizes May 11 -16, 2026 as Police Week in Arden Hills, Minnesota, and publicly <br />salutes the service of law enforcement officers in our community and in communities across <br />the nation. <br />__________________________ ___________________________ <br />David Grant, Mayor Brenda Holden, Councilmember <br /> <br />___________________________ ___________________________ <br />Emily Rousseau, Councilmember Tena Monson, Councilmember <br /> <br />___________________________ <br />Kurt Weber, Councilmember <br />
