Resolution No. 84-23
RESOLUTION APPOINTING COUNCIL
MEMBER TO FILL COUNCIL VACANCY
UNTIL NOVEMBER SPECIAL ELECTION
.
WHEREAS, on July 9th, the City Council accepted
Councilman Michael Christiansen's resignation effective August 1st,
and declared that a vacancy exists on the Council until a successor
is elected and qualified at the Special Election to be held on
November 6, 1984, and
WHEREAS, the Council accepted applications for appoint-
ment as Councilman until August 8th and eight applications were
received, and
WHEREAS, the Council concurred that a ranking of the
applicants on a 1-5 point basis would be appropriate, and
WHEREAS Nancy Hansen received the most points,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
hereby appoints Nancy Hansen Council Member until the Special
Election on November 6, 1984.
Passed by the Arden Hills Council this 20th day of
August, 1984.
