Resolution No. 84-27
ESTABLISHING WIDTH AND LANE STRIPING
ON HAMLINE AVENUE BETWEEN STH 96 AND
FLORAL DRIVE
WHEREAS, MN/Dot has requested that the City establish
the width and lane striping of Hamline Avenue from STH 96 to
Floral Drive so proper transition from the interchange to Hamline
Avenue can be constructed, and
WHEREAS, the City held an informational meeting for
residents in the area on September 10, 1984, and
WHEREAS, the City Council at that meeting reviewed
four basic alternatives, including roadway widths of 36 feet,
44 feet, 46 feet and 52 feet, and
WHEREAS, the existing right-of-way width of Hamline
Avenue is 66 feet,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
selects the 46 foot roadway width with two 12 foot driving lanes,
one continuous 14 foot left turn lane and two 4 foot shoulders.

of September, 1984.
