HomeMy WebLinkAbout84-019 . . 40 , EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL CITY OF ARDEN HILLS Ramsey County, Minnesota Held: June 25, 1984 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the City of Arden Hills met in regular session at the City Hall on Monday, the 25th day of June, 1984, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Mayor Woodburn and Councilmembers Hicks, MUlcahy and Christiansen; and the following were absent: Coucilmember Rauenhorst. Councilmember Hicks introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Resolution No. 84-19 RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT NO. SS-W-P-ST-84-1 BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Arden Hills as follows: 1. By resolution adopted February 27, 1984, the Council has directed the City Consulting Engineer to prepare a preliminary report as to the feasibility of a proposed improvement on the south 1800 feet of the west 1/2.of the northwest 1/4 of Section 22, Township 30, Range 23 (the Royal Hills North Plat) by the installation of sanitary sewer, watermain, aggregate base, bitu- minous street, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, right of way acquisition and necessary appurtenances. The Consulting Engineer was also directed to include in the report the estimated cost of the proposed improvement and as to whether such improve- ment should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement. The preliminary report and cost estimate have been submitted and considered by the Council and are hereby approved and directed to be placed on file in the office of the City Clerk Administrator. The improvement proposed to be made in the general manner set forth in the report is designated as Improvement No. SS-W-p-ST-84-1. . . .. 2. The Council shall meet at the City Hall, 1450 West Highway 96, in said City, on July 30, 1984, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed improvement under and pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and the Clerk Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of that meeting to be published twice in the official newspaper, New Brighton Bulletin, which publications shall be a week apart, and the second publication shall be not less than three days before the date of the hearing. 3. The notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT NO. SS-W-p-ST-84-l CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA . NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota, will meet at the City Hall, 1450 West Highway 96, in said City, on the 30th day of July, 1984, at 7:30 o'clock p.m., to hold a public hearing pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, as amended, on proposed Improvement No. SS-W-P-ST-84-l, including all that property in the City of Arden Hills on the south 1800 feet of the west 1/2 of the northwest 1/4 of Section 22, Township 30, Range 23 (Royal Hills North Plat) by the installation of sanitary sewer, watermain, aggregate base, bituminous street, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, right of way acquisition and necessary appurtenances. The foregoing is all substantially in accordance with a preliminary engineering report which is now on file and open to public inspection in the office of the City Clerk Administrator. The cost of the improvement is presently estimated at $432,000. The area proposed to be assessed for the improvement shall be the following: The south 1800 feet of the westlj2 of the northwest u----i/4 of Section 22, Township 30, -Range ij" (Royal Hills North Plat), Arden Hills, Ramsey County, Minnesota. All persons desiring to be heard with reference to the impro- vement and the area proposed to be assessed therefor may appear and be heard by the City Council at the time and place stated above. The general nature, estimated cost and area proposed to be assessed for Improvement No. SS-W-P-ST-84-1 is determined to be as stated in the foregoing notice, as fully as though the same were separately set forth and resolved herein. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Hicks and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: All presentl and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
