Resolution No. 84-17
RESOLUTION REVISING WATER UTILITY RATES
EFFECTIVE JULY I, 1984
WHEREAS, St. Paul rates to supply water to the
City of Arden Hills have risen 20% over the past two
years, and
.
WHEREAS, City water utility rates have not been
increased since April I, 1982, and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has reviewed the
water utility rate structure and determined that the
utility will operate at a deficit in 1984, and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended
that the Council increase water rates, since it is not
economically feasible to keep absorbing the St. Paul
increases,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that effective
July 1, 1984 the water utility rates be revised as follows:
Water rates will be increased from
87~ to $1.10/1,000 gallons
Quarterly minimum charges will be
adjusted as follows:

The Standby and Fire Line rates will
not be increased.
The City will continue its policy of
having no minimum charge for senior and
totally disabled citizens.
