<br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF AROEN HILLS <br /> <br />Resolution No. 84-16 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING SPEED REDUCTION ON <br />HAMLINE AVENUE FROM STH 96 TO WEST COUNTY <br />ROAD F <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Arden Hills City Council received <br />petitions signed by every household on Hamline Avenue re- <br />questing a speed reduction between STH 96 and West County <br />Road F, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Public Safety Committee has reviewed <br />the traffic report of Deputy Sheriff Frank Herbst and the <br />traffic count prepared by Ramsey County Public Works Depart- <br />ment, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Committee received testimony from <br />residents in the area concerning the hazardous traffic con- <br />~ftions, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Public Safety Committee has recom- <br />mended that Council take the necessary action to have the <br />State reduce the speed limit to 30 MPH, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Arden Hills City Council reviewed <br />the documentation and Committee recommendation at the May <br />29th Council Meeting, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council <br />requests that MN DOT perform the necessary traffic studies, <br />and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Arden Hills City <br />Council recommends that the speed be reduced to 30 MPH. <br /> <br />Passed by the Arden Hills City Council this 29th <br />day of May, 1984. <br /> <br />~~~A~ <br />Ro er L.
