Extract of Minutes of Meeting
of City Council
City of Arden Hills
Ramsey County, Minnesota
Held: March 26, 1984
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council
of the City of Arden Hills met in regular session at the City
Hall on Monday, the 26th day of March, 1984, at 7:30 o'clock
p.m.
The following members were present: Mayor woodburn and
Council Members Mulcahy and Hicks; and the following Council
Members were absent: Christianson and Rauenhorst.
Councilman Hicks introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
Resolution No. 84-11
RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND PROVIDING
FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT NO. 88-83-6
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Arden Hills
as follows:

1. By resolution adopted August 29, 1983, the Council
has directed the City Consulting Engineer to prepare a
preliminary report as to the feasibility of a proposed
improvement to that portion of the City of Arden Hills
lying North of 1-694 by the construction of trunk sani-
tary sewer and necessary"appurtenances from Sewage Pump-
ing Station No. 10 southerly to 1-694, then westerly to
1-35W just north of its intersection with 1-694 and then
to the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission Interceptor
located near 1-35W in New Brighton. The Consulting En-
gineer was also directed to include in the report the

estimated cost of the proposed improvement and as to
whether such improvement should best be made as pro-
posed or in connection with some other improvement.
The preliminary report and cost estimate have been
submitted and considered by the Council and are hereby
approved and directed to be placed on file in the office
of the City Clerk Administrator. The improvement propos-
ed to be made in the general manner set forth in the
report is designated as Improvement No. SS-83-6.
2. The Council shall meet April 23, 1984 at the City
Hall, 1450 West Highway 96, in said City, at 7:30
o'clock p.m. for the purpose of holding a public hear-
ing on the proposed improvement under and pursuant to
the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and
the Clerk Administrator is hereby authorized and direct-
ed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of
that meeting to be published twice in the official news-
paper, New Brighton Bulletin, which publications shall
be a week apart, and the second publication shall not
be less than three days before the date of the hearing.
3. The notice shall be in substantially the following

ON IMPROVEMENT NO. SS-83-6
CITY OR ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of
Arden Hills, Minnesota, will meet at the City Hall, 1450 West
Highway 96, in said City, on the 23rd day of April, 1984, at
7:30 o'clock p.m., to hold a pUblic hearing pursuant to Minne-
sota Statutes, Chapter 429, as amended, on proposed Improve-
ment No. SS-83-6 to that portion of the City of Arden Hills
lying North of 1-694 by the construction of trunk sanitary
sewer and necessary appurtenances from Sewage Pumping Station
No. 10 southerly to 1-694, then westerly to 1-35W just north
of its intersection with 1-694 and then to the Metropolitan
Waste Control Commission Interceptor located near 1-35W in
New Brighton. The foregoing is all substantially in accordance
with a preliminary engineering report which is now on file and
open to pUblic inspection in the office of the City Clerk Ad-
ministrator.
The cost of the improvement is presently estimated at
$580,000. The area proposed to be assessed for the improve-
ment shall be the following:
That portion of"the South 1/2 of Section 21,T. 30,
R. 23, in Ramsey County, Minnesota lying north of
the Interstate-694 right of way, east of the Inter-
state 1-35W right of way and west of County State Aid
Highway No. 76 (old Highway 10) right of way.
All persons desiring to be heard with reference to the
improvement and the area proposed to be assessed therefor may
appear and be heard by the City Council at the time and place
stated above.

4. The general nature, estimated cost and area pro-
posed to be assessed for Improvement No. SS-83-6 are
determined to be as stated in the foregoing notice,
as fully as though the same were separately set forth
and resolved herein.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
duly seconded by Councilman Mulcahy and, upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: All Present; and
the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said reso-
lution was declared duly passed and adopted.

I, the undersigned, being the "duly qualified and acting Clerk
Administrator of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota, do hereby cer-
tify that I have carefully compared the attached and foregoing ex-
tract of minutes of a regular meeting of the City council of said
City held on the 26th day of March, 1984, with the original thereof
on file in my office, and the same is a full, true and complete
transcript insofar as the same relates to Improvement No. SS-83-6
of said City.
